Is Nutifood “swallowing” Vinasoy’s parent company?

Recently, Nutifood returned with the purchase of another 2 million shares of Quang Ngai Sugar, turning Nutifood into a large group of shareholders vying for ownership of Vinasoy’s parent company.

Nutifood Binh Duong Nutrition Food Company has just announced to buy 2 million more QNS shares of Quang Ngai Sugar Company on August 2, thereby bringing the total holding here to 6.2 million units (equivalent to 6.2 million shares). 1.74% of charter capital).

In addition, Nutifood Nutrition Food Company also holds a 3.6% stake. Thus, the above deal helps the group’s total ownership increase to a total of over 19 million shares, becoming a large group of shareholders holding 5.34% of the shares.

This is the next major shareholder group to be revealed, behind Thanh Phat Trading Company Limited (8.31%) and General Director Vo Thanh Dang (7.04%) and VOF fund. Note that Thanh Phat company is owned by Quang Ngai Sugar, so it can be seen that the amount of shares Thanh Phat is holding is partly of the nature of treasury shares.

The race to acquire shares in QNS has been very hot recently with many famous names participating, but currently no unit has enough power to dominate and control this consumer goods manufacturing company.

With its leading position in the industry (accounting for more than 80% of the market share of canned soy milk with Vinasoy and Fami brands, and a large source of income from sugar and beer…) and fragmented shareholder structure, QNS shares are highly appreciated. Consumer goods group is interested.

In particular, the “chicken that lays golden eggs” for Quang Ngai Sugar is the soy milk segment of Vinasoy. By 2010, it took 5 years of operation, Vinasoy had risen to the leading position in the soy milk market with more than 80% market share.

It is not surprising that every big man wants to jump into this field when the soy milk segment brought in revenue of VND 2,135 billion, up 12% over the same period and accounting for 53% of total consolidated revenue. Gross profit increased by 7% to VND 843 billion and accounted for 74% of the company’s gross profit.
