VIISA is an early stage startup venture capital fund. This fund invested in SHub Education Technology Joint Stock Company. A Vietnamese startup’s first IPO succeeded in Japan
Hybrid Technologies is the first Vietnamese technology startup to IPO at the Tokyo Stock Exchange. Hybrid Technologies was established in 2016. This startup is headquartered in Tokyo, with branches in Osaka, Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City. This IPO is carried out in accordance with the regulations on issuing shares of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. The stock code of Hybrid Technologies is 4260. In this IPO, the starting market cap of 4260 is ¥8,165 million, equivalent to 1,641 billion VND.
A Vietnamese social commerce platform raised a Pre-Series A funding
Selly is an e-commerce model of community interaction application. On February 8, 2022, Selly raised $2.6 million in a Pre-Series A funding round. This round includes investment funds from CyberAgent Capital, Do Ventures, Genesia Ventures, JAFCO Asia, and KVision. This e-commerce model was established in April 2021. Selly operates in the field of e-commerce targeting niche segments. Sellers can source goods from suppliers on Selly. They can share it with people around without having to invest in capital, store it, or operate it. Selly will improve products, reach out to more small cities and provinces for people to have more sustainable income.
A healthcare service startup successfully fundraised
Medici is a startup that provides health and insurance services. This startup successfully raised capital in a Pre-Series A round from Wavemaker Partners and Jungle Ventures. The value of the deal was not disclosed. Medici will grow its technology-based insurance business. Medici was established in 2019. This startup helps Vietnamese people access health care and insurance solutions quickly and conveniently.
The e-commerce app Rino raised funds successfully
The e-commerce app for super-fast delivery Rino was invested $3 million. Sequoia Capital, Global Founders Capital, Venturra Discovery, Saison Capital all participated in this pre-seed round. Former Baemin CEO Nguyen Trung Thanh founded Rino in December 2021, which stands for “Right Now”. Nguyen Trung Thanh is a familiar face in the field of e-commerce and online-to-offline. He also held the position of Director of Two Wheels Department of Grab Vietnam.
