Crosshub: Connecting Digital Identity and Global Payments
When people travel across borders, identity verification and payments often require navigating multiple disconnected systems. Each market has its own identity verification requirements, payment methods, and operational processes, creating friction throughout the journey—from registration and authentication to transaction completion. Crosshub is developing digital infrastructure to connect identity verification and payments within a unified journey, with the goal of delivering secure, seamless, and globally scalable transaction experiences.
When Identity Verification and Payments Remain Fragmented
In cross-border transactions, users may need to verify their identities repeatedly, adapt to unfamiliar payment methods, or encounter difficulties switching between services. According to Crosshub, differences in identity systems and payment environments across countries can lead users to abandon registration, leave payments incomplete, or experience disruptions in their relationships with service providers.
To address these challenges, Crosshub aims to integrate functions that have traditionally operated separately into a unified flow, covering everything from onboarding and identity verification to payments and value creation at the point of transaction.
Crosshub – Bridging Identity and Finance
Guided by its vision of “Bridging identity and finance to connect the world,” Crosshub is developing digital infrastructure that connects digital identity with payments to create a simpler journey from verification to transaction completion.
The company’s mission is to build secure, accessible global digital infrastructure that can be used anywhere, at any time. Rather than treating identity verification and payments as two separate systems, Crosshub is building an architecture in which digital identity serves as the foundation connecting every stage of a transaction.
Identity-Driven Transaction Architecture
Crosshub calls its model the Identity-Driven Transaction Architecture, which integrates onboarding, verification, payments, and value creation into a unified flow. This architecture is implemented through several components.
1. Travel Pass – Preparing for the Journey Before Arrival
Travel Pass allows users to complete essential preparations in their home countries, including installing the application, registering a card, and adding funds in advance. Upon arriving in South Korea, users can collect their cards at the airport and begin making payments.
2. IDBlock – Digital Identity Verification
IDBlock is a global identity verification platform built on Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) and Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZKP). Users can verify their identities once and reuse their verified identities across multiple services and environments.
3. B·Pay – Connecting Cross-Border Payments
B·Pay connects payment methods that users are already familiar with in their home countries, enabling them to continue using familiar payment options when entering other markets. Crosshub envisions B·Pay as a payment connectivity layer capable of operating on a global scale.
4. V·Pay – Creating Additional Value at the Point of Transaction
V·Pay integrates voice authentication into the payment process. According to Crosshub, this approach adds another layer of transaction security while opening up opportunities to generate additional value directly at the point of payment.
From Fragmented Systems to a Unified Transaction Journey
Crosshub focuses not only on connecting different functions but also on building infrastructure capable of operating across diverse markets. The company emphasizes three key principles:
- Unified Operating Model: Integrating onboarding, payments, and monetization into a single flow to simplify operations and reduce potential drop-off points throughout the user journey.
- Multi-Market Scalability: Designing systems that can adapt to different identity verification requirements and payment environments across countries while maintaining consistent user experiences and operational standards.
- Conversion-Led Design: Building the architecture around successful registration, payment authentication, and value generation from transactions, with the aim of improving performance over time.
Technology Built on a Foundation of Trust
For Crosshub, digital identity is more than a user verification step; it is a foundational layer for connecting financial services.
Crosshub’s technology stack includes identity verification infrastructure, AI-based identity matching, and AI voice-based additional authentication. AI is used to support identity verification and detect potential fraud, including identity theft and duplicate identity issuance. Meanwhile, voice authentication can serve as an additional security layer for higher-risk actions such as payments and money transfers.
Beyond technology, Crosshub also emphasizes security standards and regulatory compliance. The company reports holding ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27701 certifications, alongside recognition through various programs, awards, and assessments by external organizations.
From Payments to Real-World Applications
Crosshub’s infrastructure is designed to address a range of practical use cases, from international user onboarding and identity verification at ports and immigration checkpoints to payments, cross-border remittances, and authentication-based login.
One application in Vietnam is Digital Campus ID, which connects digital identity with access control, administrative services, and payments within university campuses. Crosshub reports that this model has been implemented under memoranda of understanding with the University of Science and Education – The University of Danang, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City.
In the remittance sector, Crosshub is developing a Cross-Border Remittance model that connects fund transfers with verified digital identities to simplify compliance processes and support cross-border transactions.
From South Korea to a Global Connectivity Network
Crosshub aims to build infrastructure that can scale across multiple countries and markets. According to information published by the company, its network currently spans more than 18 active countries and 24 active cities, with over 160 selected programs and participation in more than 30 international events.
This direction reflects Crosshub’s broader vision: connecting identity and finance to connect the world. Rather than focusing solely on an individual payment product, the company aims to build an infrastructure layer that links identity, authentication, and payments across diverse environments.
Smart ID – Crosshub’s Solution at Startup Wheel 2026
At Startup Wheel 2026, Crosshub introduced Smart ID, a solution focused on integrating digital identity, authentication, and payments into a unified system.
Crosshub advanced through the selection rounds of the International Track and secured a place in the Top 5 of Startup Wheel 2026 International Track. This group represents the international startups that reached the program’s final round. Startup Wheel 2026 recorded 2,458 projects from 28 countries.
Participation in Startup Wheel 2026 provided Crosshub with an additional platform to present its approach to identity and payment challenges in a world where users increasingly operate across multiple countries, platforms, and systems.
Starting with a challenge that might appear to belong to two separate fields—identity verification and payments—Crosshub has chosen to build an infrastructure layer that connects both within a single journey.
Through IDBlock, B·Pay, V·Pay, and its Identity-Driven Transaction Architecture, Crosshub aims to reduce fragmentation across identity verification, login, payments, and remittances while expanding its potential applications across countries and industries.
Being named a Top 5 startup in the Startup Wheel 2026 International Track marks an important milestone in Crosshub’s journey to introduce its identity and payment infrastructure model to Vietnam’s and the region’s startup ecosystems, advancing its vision of more seamless identity and financial connectivity on a global scale.
