Twelve Bamboo Airways’ flights to the US are licenced

On September 7, 2021, Bamboo Airways said it had been licensed by the US TSA. The Airways will operate twelve direct flights between Vietnam and the US from September to November 2021. The departure and landing points will be key international airports. These airports are Noi Bai, Da Nang in Vietnam; San Francisco, Los Angeles (California); Seattle-Tacoma (Washington) in the US. The first verified direct flight of the twelve ones will be conducted by Bamboo Airways on September 23, 2021. This flight will pave the way for the Airways’ chain of operations in the US. The Airways will sign a memorandum of understanding with two international airports San Francisco and Los Angeles. Bamboo Airways will also open an official representative office in the US. Bamboo Airways will also work with Boeing, whose Vietnam’s first offices are recently opened.

From May 2021, Bamboo Airways has been assigned to operate charter flights to the US. The Airways has been granted a departing and landing slot for regular direct flights from Ho Chi Minh City to San Francisco and Los Angeles. Bamboo Airways is currently keeping the punctuality rate up to 96.9%. Accordingly, this is the one and only airline that flies on time in the whole industry in the first eight months of 2021. Bamboo Airways is also the one and only airline to exceed capacity in the same period by 13.8%. The Airways is basically ready to operate regular non-stop commercial flights connecting Vietnam and the US from the end of 2021 and the early 2022. The Airways is also testing the IATA Travel Pass from the fourth quarter of 2021. The test will help the international flight networks and direct US flights be smooth and safe.
