TopZone became a new “phenomenon”: Born in a struggle but with million dollars in revenue
The expansion plan failed when reaching 50 stores not in March but in June, but the “performance” of the “new chicken” of Mobile World brought impressive revenue.
The Mobile World’s first 6 months report has just been released, with the total revenue of The Gioi Di Dong (including TopZone) and Dien May Xanh chains accounting for 80.5% of the company’s total revenue. The revenue of The Gioi Di Dong chain (including TopZone) is approximately VND 19,000 billion while the revenue of Dien May Xanh chain is about VND 38,000 billion.
Only in the first half of 2022, TopZone reached the milestone of VND 1,000 billion, with a strategic calculation of MWG, currently TopZone has a total of 50 stores, spanning many provinces and cities across the country.
Before that, by the end of May, TopZone chain had a total of 46 stores. Worth mentioning, before the end of the first quarter, TopZone had a total of 29 stores nationwide. Thus, the number of TopZone stores after a quarter has nearly doubled.
Despite this, it still has not met TopZone’s expectations when the target of 60 stores must be completed late by the end of the second quarter, with such a speed of store opening, it is likely that TopZone will have difficulty in reaching the target of 200 stores. stores as of the end of the year as mentioned in the meeting at the beginning of the year.
Contrary to the slow growth rate of opening new TopZone store chains, this chain’s revenue is still showing a steady increase month by month. With this result, TopZone is gradually taking a larger proportion of the total revenue of each period of Mobile World, although still accounting for a very small proportion of the company’s revenue structure.
Mobile World actually puts quite a lot of expectations on the TopZone chain. This is the number one chain of Apple products and services in Vietnam, as well as the highest standards among Apple retailers, not only in Vietnam but also around the world.
Meanwhile, Mobile World Chairman Nguyen Duc Tai confidently said that TopZone will be the largest chain in Vietnam in the near future.
