Delivering modern and convenient experiences for users and event organizers
On October 2, 2019, Techhaus Vietnam was founded with a simple yet ambitious mission: “to use technology to solve the complex challenges faced by event organizers.” Techhaus Vietnam initially focused on the sports sector, where technological solutions had not yet been fully leveraged. Additionally, the company provided software solutions for various industries, including retail, healthcare, and manufacturing.
In the same year, Techhaus Vietnam launched Raceez, the precursor to ActiUp. Raceez began as a sports-centric solution targeting activities like running, cycling, and multi-sport events, designed primarily for users participating in physical activities. During this experimental phase, Raceez was not Techhaus Vietnam’s flagship product but rather a testing ground for innovative ideas and practical learning. These experiences laid the foundation for steady and deliberate progress toward a greater goal.
A Turning Point in 2022
The turning point came in 2022, a period of recovery following the COVID-19 pandemic. During this time, Raceez experienced its most significant growth as communities increasingly focused on physical fitness. However, aiming to provide a platform that met broader customer needs, Techhaus Vietnam recognized it was the right time to reposition Raceez.
Rebranding and Sustainable Vision
With a new vision, Raceez was upgraded to ActiUp—a name that is not only memorable but also conveys the message: “Active Up”—encouraging people to be active not just in sports but in everyday life. ActiUp evolved beyond being a platform for sports enthusiasts, becoming a versatile space for entertainment, conferences, and various other types of events.
Building ActiUp to its current form required careful deliberation. It represents the culmination of lessons learned from past failures.
With extensive experience in the event industry, the Techhaus Vietnam team understood that no product could integrate every idea imagined. Mr. Nguyễn Hoàng Tuấn, CEO of Techhaus Vietnam, shared:
“We had to make tough decisions about which features to include and which to hold off on. Every feature we retained needed to address a specific customer problem directly.”
Behind the completed products, some ideas had to be shelved or restructured due to infrastructure challenges during rapid growth. These lessons helped Techhaus Vietnam realize that building a sustainable platform requires prioritizing long-term strategies over immediate results.
ActiUp: Aiming for 2025 and Beyond
By 2024, ActiUp has continued to evolve, becoming an improved version of itself compared to 2023. It now caters not only to sports events but also to entertainment, conferences, and many other types of events. The Techhaus Vietnam team spent the first half of the year researching market demands, refining existing solutions, and developing new infrastructure. Their ambitious goal: bring ActiUp to the international market by 2025.
At the Startup Wheel 2024 Final round, Mr. Tuấn shared that ActiUp has so far supported over 300 events of various scales, with more than 250,000 users and over 650,000 monthly visits. ActiUp has also been the service provider for activities such as Tien Phong Marathon National Championship, offering check-in and attendee management solutions for the Techcombank Ho Chi Minh City International Marathon, Dalat Ultra Trail 2023, Baden Mountain Marathon 2023, and many other events.
